“I believe that in order to be a good doctor you must first listen and touch your patient. Let them feel that you care about their well-being as a person. They should feel that they can tell you anything and not be judged, but should know that you will tell them what they need to know. The doctor and patient relationship is a team effort and everyone should pull their weight. Patients should know what their meds are and what they are for. Should know what disease processes they have and for how long. Knowing your family history is a map of what may happen to you in the future, all family members are different shapes and sizes but they all wear the same pair of genes. Knowledge is power.”
